The unions had promised a large mobilization before the resumption of strikes in many sectors on Tuesday. The blockades started on Monday evening and continued all night. The promises were kept.

The French marched in more than 200 cities in France. In Paris, protesters left at 2 p.m. from Boulevard Raspail and arrived around 7 p.m. at the Place d’Italie. 

The Ministry of the Interior said there were 1.28 million demonstrators, including 81,000 in the capital, Paris. According to the CGT, some 3.5 million people demonstrated in France for the sixth day of mobilization against pension reform, including 700,000 in Paris. Both estimates are higher than those of January 31, the previous record since the beginning of the movement. According to the CGT, the previous trade union record since the beginning of the movement. And a figure equal to the mobilization of October 12, 2010 against the pension reform of Sarkozy.1
